Who would have thought it could be this easy to bake your own delicious Hävenly Rustic bread at home? You can mix all ingredients by hand within a few minutes (or use an electric mixer), add some water and a little bit of oil, and you are all set. You don’t even have to knead the dough! Follow our simple instructions and your home will be filled with the aroma of newly baked bread. Each bag makes lots of delicious Rustic bread: 2 boules (1 lb. each) or 1 loaf (2 lbs.) or 8 buns. If this seems like a lot of bread, don’t worry; you can easily freeze it.
To Prepare: 1. ADD 3 cups warm water (95- 105F) in a mixing bowl. Add 2 tsp (about 7 grams) of instant yeast (not included) and stir gently.
2. ADD 2 Tbsp oil and the flour. Mix for 1-3 min by hand using a wooden spoon (or electric mixer) until dough is smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Let dough rise 75-90 min.
3. PREHEAT oven to 435F.
4. CAREFULLY FORM two boules*. Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Let rise a second time for 30 min.
5. BAKE for about 50 min until the boules have a nice solid crust.
6. LET COOL on a rack and enjoy!
*ALTERNATIVE: Form 8 buns (bake about 25 min) or 1 loaf (bake about 60 min).
