Organic Penne Rigate

With its ends cut at an angle, penne has a particularly large surface area and plenty of room in its tubes for sauce. The shape is also what gives it the name Penne, which comes from the Italian word for “quill.” There are generally two variations of penne: smooth (lisce) and ridged (rigate). Our variation of rigate is perfect for getting that sauce in the nitty gritty areas, making for a better pasta eating experience. That is where pasta is won and lost, in the ridges! Additionally, Durum Wheat is high in protein!
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil with plenty of salt
- Add pasta and cook for 9-11 minutes
- Drain immediately and coat in your favorite sauce!
